Midreshset Tehillah - Campus Life

The academic program at Midreshet Tehillah is complimented by a full schedule of extra-curricular activities. Tiyulim and shabbatonim give students a break from classroom learning, allow them to connect with Eretz Yisrael, and generally enhance the social cohesion and enjoyment which distinguish the Midreshet Tehillah experience. Opportunities to organize and participate in activities such as plays and choirs are available throughout the year, either under the auspices of Midreshet Tehillah, or in conjunction with other programs on the Neve campus.

One of the outstanding features of the Midreshet Tehillah program is its presence on the Neve Yerushalayim campus. This modern facility is surrounded by lush lawns, stunning flowers, and expansive views that provide an idyllic setting within which to study the Torah of Eretz Yisrael.

Far more important than Neve's physical beauty, however, is the astounding variety of students which meet on the campus during the academic year. Though Midreshet Tehillah is a self-contained unit and most of a student's social life revolves around her fellow students in the program, opportunities abound to meet and interact with people from a vast range of backgrounds in the safety of an environment where everyone is heading in the same direction. Over 800 students converge on the campus daily, ranging from women at the very beginning of their quest to find their Jewish roots to Lakewood and Boro Park Beit Yaakov graduates who have come to deepen their knowledge and commitment to avodat HaShem.

On the campus you may come across a college student on her way back from trekking in India, an Israeli kibbutznik fresh out of the army, a former Beit Yaakov student who lost her way and is now rediscovering Torah, or a mother of eight doing graduate-level studies in counseling. All gather at Neve to participate in one of the many programs housed there. All meet in the cavernous dining hall speaking English, French, and Hebrew. All have one goal in mind: to develop their yirat shomayim and avodat HaShem. Meeting these disparate individuals, watching their struggles, and seeing firsthand how the study of Torah can change even those furthest from observance, are truly inspirational and add an invaluable element to the Midreshet Tehillah experience.
