Tuition And Fees
Tuition includes room and board (three meals a day). A limited scholarship program is available. Michlelet Esther is a MASA-scholarship approved program. It also has joint programs with Teacher’s Institute in Skokie, IL and Touro College.
Financial Aid
Michlelet Esther turns no one away for lack of tuition. The school, however, does not possess a scholarship fund from which we can draw the missing money. Our solution is a Moral Obligation program. Students are asked to sign and commit to a Moral Obligation Agreement to Neve Yerushalayim.
The Moral Obligation Agreement is neither a loan nor a scholarship. It is a deferment. Your acceptance of the Moral Obligation Agreement will represent a sincere commitment on your behalf to repay the Moral Obligation when you are able to do so in the future, thus enabling future students to be able to attend our school.
Students who require help should first investigate the possibility of receiving monetary support from Jewish Federations, local synagogues, sponsors or other organizations that offer scholarships for study in Israel.
United States students who are enrolled in Joint Programs (described below) are eligible for Federal grants. New York State residents are also eligible for New York State grants.
A number of colleges and universities in the United States offer a Joint Program with Michlelet Esther whereby the student is accepted both at the home college and at Michlelet Esther. While attending Michlelet Esther, the student is considered a registered student of the home college and pays tuition to that college. In turn, the home college issues an official college transcript for credits taken at Michlelet Esther.
